work with us

A support model built for the long game

From initial onboarding to long-term growth — one method, adapted to the organization in front of us.

The model

01

A structured program

A proven method that gives your team a clear path from awareness to accountable, day-to-day inclusive practice.

02

Onboarding and ongoing support

Onboarding for new clients and continued support for existing ones, so progress never depends on a single workshop.

03

Bespoke consulting

Engagements shaped around your sector, your people and the specific barriers your audiences are running into.

04

Continuous follow-up

Regular check-ins that hold momentum, unblock implementation and turn commitments into measurable change.

05

Keynotes and workshops

Standalone or add-on sessions for teams, conferences and events that need an energetic, lived-experience perspective.

How an engagement runs

Phase 01

Discover

We map where your organization currently excludes people — process, product, hiring, communication — and agree on what success looks like.

Phase 02

Build

The structured program runs with your team: working sessions, practical tooling and decisions documented as you go.

Phase 03

Embed

Managers are enabled to carry the practice forward, with follow-up that keeps implementation moving after the sessions end.

Common questions

What does Deaf Boss Queen do?
Deaf Boss Queen is a disability equality consultancy led by Kellina Powell, a Black Deaf author and keynote speaker. We help organizations make their products, workplaces, events and communications genuinely accessible — through a structured program, bespoke consulting, keynotes and workshops.
Who do you work with?
Companies, schools, municipalities, chambers of commerce and community organizations across Canada — from single teams to organization-wide partnerships. Three-month pilots are a common starting point for larger organizations.
How long does an engagement take?
Starter runs three months, Growth runs six months, and Enterprise partnerships are scoped to the organization. Every engagement moves through three phases: discover, build and embed.
Do you offer keynotes and workshops?
Yes. Kellina speaks at conferences, staff days, schools and community events on Deaf inclusion, disability equality and accessible practice, and runs practical workshops for teams and managers.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is scoped with you after a consultation, because the work depends on size and goals. Flexible payment is available, and barter or partnership arrangements are considered.
How do we get started?
Book a 30-minute consultation. We talk through your goals, recommend an engagement or pilot scope, and agree on a start date and a clear first phase. Accessibility requests for the call — captioning, interpretation, written follow-up — are always welcome.
